Welcome
Welcome and thank you for coming to The Museum of the San Ramon Valley’s third annual “Back to School Under the Stars” gala. In normal times, this wonderful event would be at our beautiful and historic 1888 Tassajara Grammar School. In respect of everyone’s health, we have moved the physical event into the virtual realm until we can safely gather once again. I hope that you enjoy this virtual event and auction.
Even though our school programs have been cut short and the Museum closed for several months, we are a strong organization and are happy that we are coming back. During our closure, we have made necessary repairs to the 1891 Southern Pacific Depot and 1888 Grammar School which also gleams with new paint. We continue to collect and preserve Valley history and have presented on-line programs on Valley history. We have designed walking and drive around tours to Valley historic sites for families staying safe at home. We are moving ahead with new, educational, and fun exhibits for this year and next.
The heart and soul of any not-for-profit organization are the people that make up and support it. In our case, we have the support of generous donors, loyal members, and dedicated, talented, and hardworking volunteers and staff. Thanks to you all, we continue to move ahead and do things that you can be proud of even in trying times.
Again, thank you for coming and I hope that you enjoy the event.
