About Us

The Museum of the San Ramon Valley preserves and interprets the history of the valley through exhibits, tours, archival collections and programs. The Valley's past is featured in a permanent exhibit that includes artifacts, a historical narrative frieze and pictures of historic buildings.

In addition to a permanent exhibit on Valley history, the Museum sponsors revolving exhibits and several guided tours including the Alamo Cemetery and Old Town Danville.

School children are served with the First Peoples of California program for fourth graders in the fall and the Tassajara One-Room School program for third graders in the spring. The Passport Program takes students around the San Ramon Valley to various historical sites where they are asked to complete questions about the site. 

The Museum promotes community by offering events such as Shops & Hops Beer Stroll and Relics on Railroad on Labor Day. We also offer group tours of Downtown Danville and the Alamo Cemetery.
